(RNN) – A Missouri woman has been charged in a disturbing case in which she is accused of taking her 2-year-old daughter to a house to let men repeatedly rape her.
The Associated Press reported 25-year-old Azzie Watson of Independence, MO, was recorded by her boyfriend talking openly about the rapes.
In the recording, Watson reportedly admits watching the men rape her daughter, and says she was raped five times.
Her daughter apparently contracted a sexually transmitted disease.
The Kansas City Star reported police began investigating when foster parents tired to change her diaper and she cried, “Daddy hurt me.” Watson was in custody on other charges at the time.
Watson has contended she lied in the videos because she was afraid of her boyfriend, the AP reported, but cannot explain why her daughter now has an STD.
She has been charged with three felony counts related to child abuse, and is being held in the Wyandotte County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.
Police arrested the boyfriend, 43-year-old Charles Green, and charged him with endangering a child, but have yet to identify any suspects in the rapes.
The Star reported both the 2-year-old daughter and another child, her 1-year-old brother, had scarred and punctured feet.
The paper also reported the foster parents noticed something from the children they had never seen before: They didn’t ask for their mother.
