MACON, Ga. (AP) - Police say a woman and her daughter were killed when a driving heading the wrong way collided with their vehicle in middle Georgia.
Monroe County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Lawson C. Bittick III tells local news media that 29-year-old Monserrat Godinez of College Park and her seven-year-old daughter were killed in a crash that occurred about 2 a.m. Sunday. The driver, 32-year-old David Fryar Jr., of the wrong-way car was also killed.
Bittick says Godinez's daughter was taken to a hospital in Macon, where she died from injuries.
Bittick says the accident happened on Interstate 75 southbound near mile maker 195.
