GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A mother is facing charges in Gadsden County for abusing her physically and mentally challenged daughter.

The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office is charging Mary Huber of Havana for the alleged abuse.

GSCO says that Huber is the guardian of her 29-year old-daughter.

According to deputies, Huber got upset with the victim when she didn't get up from the bed and punished her by placing a hot iron to the victim's buttocks.

As a result of the incident, the victim sustained aggravated burns that left a print of the iron on her buttocks.

Mary Huber was booked at the Gadsden County Jail on charges of aggravated abuse on a disabled person and malicious intent to harm against a disabled person.
