ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia's insurance commissioner says his office helped consumers recover more than $8 million in claims last year.
Commissioner Ralph Hudgens says his office in 2014 helped Georgia consumers settle roughly $8.5 million worth of disputes with insurance companies in 2014.
Hudgens says his office's consumer services division helped more than 9,700 consumers and businesses navigate insurance settlements last year. Hudgens says the office has retrieved about $39.3 million for consumers and businesses since 2011.
