The FDA is recalling 24 ounce plastic packages of "Perdue Harvestland Italian Style Organic Chicken Sausage."
The sausage is listed as a high health risk, after a food safety inspection determined there might be foreign objects in meat.
No injuries have been reported, but three customers have reported finding blue plastic objects in the sausage.
All items with the packaging code 64405 and a sell by date of 6/25/17 are now subject to recall.
Purdue Foods, LLC., is located in Gainesville, Georgia but the contaminated product was shipped to distributors in Connecticut and Maryland.
