CHATTAHOOCHEE, Fla. (WTXL) - In Gadsden County, 650 gallons of untreated sewage has leaked into a drainage ditch that leads to Mosquito Creek.
According to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the clogged sewage line set an alarm off Sunday at 7:30 a.m. Officials say the leak started at the Florida State Hospital Power House on Engineering Road in Chattahoochee.
Officials say, as of 5 p.m., the leak has been fixed and they've treated all affected areas with lime.
