TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - An additional 64 people have joined a lawsuit against the owners and managers of the Northwood Centre claiming airborne mold and animal feces made them sick.
According to the plaintiffs' attorney Ryan Andrews, these new plaintiffs on Monday joined an additional 22 plaintiffs, many former and current state workers, already part of the complaint.
The amended complaint states, that beginning in 2006, the property began to sustain damage from water, bat feces, human waste and leaking roofs. The suit says these issues created unsafe working conditions.
The lawsuit also says toxicologists advised no one should go into certain offices.
Then in 2007, employees claim to have started having medical problems.
This all comes after inspectors found 10 pounds of bat guano in the building earlier this month.
