(WTXL) - If you are looking for work there is good news. More Florida employers are expected to hire in the new year and the demand for qualified employees are on the rise.
According to a survey by Manpower Group, employers across the US are reporting the strongest hiring intentions in 12 years for the first quarter of 2019.
Employers in five states, including Florida, had the strongest outlooks for the new year.
"The growth is definitely going to be there with the economic development and the new business as well as the current industries here in Tallahassee," said Susan Smith, Sales Manager of Cardinal Staffing Service.
Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is one of the biggest employers in Tallahassee.
Their human resources department said they hired more employees in 2018 due to a strong national and local economy.
They said Tallahassee is experiencing an economic uptick with new housing, shopping, restaurants, and other local businesses and it's an exciting time to be a part of the community.
