MADISON CO., Fla. — A Monticello man is facing a marijuana-related charge after being pulled over on Highway 90, according to Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart.
The man, Kevin Edward Gilley, was pulled over after officials say he broke numerous traffic rules. The deputies say that when they talking with him, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle.
Deputies say Gilley said that admitted that he'd been smoking marijuana, but that he didn't have any more. They searched his vehicle and reportedly found a gallon bag of pot in a child's book bag.
The marijuana weighed about eight ounces.
Gilley is charged with possession of over 20 grams of marijuana with intent to sell.
