Meigs, Ga. (WTXL)--The decision is up to the voters in Meigs as they take to the polls to decide whether or not to keep Mayor Linda Harris in office.
Harris was had several run-ins with the law. Most recently she was indicted by a Thomas County grand jury on theft charges after police say she stole cash from the city for personal use.
"I think she should've been out when all of this first started", states one Meigs resident.
However Dororhy Conney has been living in the city for 60 years and says she would like to see Meigs like it was then, booming with industry and opportunity.
"I'm looking forward to the city being better. Bring back some stores, we need stores here and need Meigs to be better"
Governor Nathan Deal is set to look at the recall results once they come in and determine how the city will move forward
