TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Sunday was Veteran's Day and one of many places in the local area served up free food to veterans all day.
Mission BBQ gave away free sandwiches and cake to those who served our country.
There was a ceremony at noon but veterans could come by anytime to get their free food.
Mission BBQ's general manager spoke with WTXL about why they decided to give free meals to veterans.
"Well we do it because we can and because we feel like it is the right thing to do. Anybody who raised their right hand to protect, serve our country we feel like that is a gift we can never repay and it’s our responsibility to try our best to make them feel welcomed and thankful for their serve,”said Ryan Morse.
