LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (AP) — A Florida woman is rejoicing after her missing Bible was discovered more than 20 years later.
Angela Fernandez was given a black Bible for her birthday more than 20 years ago. She often brought it to Mosley High School for Fellowship of Christian Students meetings and other activities. But somewhere in the haze of teenage activity, it was lost.
The News Herald (http://tinyurl.com/qfho4yj ) reports a worker found the Bible this summer during a construction project at the high school and placed it on top of a trash heap. The construction manager retrieved it and brought it to a school employee who tracked Fernandez down.
Fernandez says it's a sign.
The single mother has fallen on hard times, paying for three children on her salary as a store clerk. Her 15-year-old was recently diagnosed with Asperger syndrome.
