TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - For the past 20 years, Annie Johnson has served thousands of meals during the holidays in the Frenchtown community.

This Thanksgiving was no different, and she and her team did not disappoint.

Johnson, who goes by Miss Annie, says she prepared food for 1,400 people on Thanksgiving.

She calls this her ministry.

When she started in 1998, she used eight turkeys, but now, 35 are used to feed the growing crowds.

She's 84-years-old, and has several volunteers who help her serve meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

She says all of them love helping the community, and she plans to keep doing it every year.
