TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Capital City is home to an important program for athletes of all ages: Miracle Sports.

Miracle Sports of Tallahassee is part of the Florida Disable Outdoors Association, and is a league of several specially-tweaked sports for people with disabilities.

David Jones founded the program in 2006 and has seen it grow bigger each season. He joined us on WTXL Sunrise to chat about the league and how it's making such a difference. Click the thumbnail to watch the interview.

Right now on the Miracle Sports Athletic Calendar, it's tennis time through the end of July. All games are played on Thursday nights; kids at 6 p.m. and adults at 7 p.m. Tennis is played at Temple Israel (2215 Mahan Drive).

There's also baseball and football throughout the year. Those games are at the Miracle Field in Messer Park (2899 Jackson Bluff Road, Field #3).

Miracle Sports is always looking for volunteers to help on game day. You can also be a buddy, helping the athletes on the field.
