WORTH COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - A civil suit stemming from a controversial drug search by the now-suspended Worth County Sheriff Jeff Hobby has been settled for $3 million.
Deputies conducted the search at Worth County High School.
Gov. Nathan Deal has suspended Hobby pending his criminal trial for charges involving the drug search.
Deal appointed former Deputy Sheriff Bobby Sapp to fill the temporary vacancy as sheriff of Worth County.
