COLQUITT, Ga. (WTXL/AP) - Funeral services have been scheduled for Miller County Sheriff Buddy Glass who died over the weekend.
Special Agent Steve Turner with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation says Sheriff Glass' body was found early Sunday morning in a pond behind his home. Investigators say they believe Sheriff Glass was riding a golf cart that fell into the pond. Turner adds that Glass suffered from a heart condition that prevented him from being able to get out of the water.
Glass's death has been ruled an accident.
Funeral services for Sheriff Glass will take place on Thursday, June 13, the same day he would have turned 69-years-old.
Visitation will begin on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m at First Baptist Church of Colquitt, located at 351 East Pine Street in Colquitt, Georgia.
