MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Midway Community will have a chance to take identity theft training with the Police Department.
The training will be free and open to the public.
According to the Police Department, in the past year alone across the United States there were over 368 big data breaches in addition to more than 10.7 million reported cases of personal information theft.
They also say, in the big bend area, crimes pertaining to identity theft have increased significantly, particularly in the City of Midway.
To take a part in the training, you can join the Midway Police Department on January 26th at 8 a.m. at the Florida Department of Transportation Operations Facility on Commerce Boulevard.
