MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) - Midway city officials are one step closer to passing next year's budget.
Monday's budget workshop discussed where the city is financially in this year's budget cycle to give a better estimate on how much money to propose for next year's budget.
Midway City Manager Leslie Steele feels a lot was accomplished Monday night.
"I can't even explain how great it was for us to have this meeting, the council to get together to know where our money is, to know where every dollar is being spent, to be fiscally responsible," Steele said. "What we are doing with the citizens of Midway's money and to be able to say here's where your dollar went."
Steele goes on to say they will have one more budget workshop to get everything in order.
