TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - If you have weekend plans to spend time with friends and play pool at Midtown Filling Station, you may want to change them. The bar, along with its speakeasy themed sister bar The Alchemy, will close after Friday night.
Chad Kittrell, Hunter and Harp CEO, told the Tallahassee Democrat, that the two businesses in the Manor at Midtown on Thomasville Road would be closing down, and the company is moving on to "bigger and better things."
Kittrell also added that the "Filling Station had kind of run its course. The place needed to be rebranded."
As for the employees of these businesses, Kittrell told the Democrat that only ten people are affected by the closing, but that he is looking to find them positions at other Hunter and Harp owned businesses in Tallahassee, which include the local Genghis Grill franchises as well as The Recess.
