TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A local business is hosting a benefit Tuesday night in Tallahassee to support the families of the victims in the Orlando nightclub shooting.
The event is from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Fifth & Thomas Kitchen and Music House in Midtown.
Local musicians will be taking the stage throughout the night, and there will be a silent auction with more than 50 items donated by local businesses in the Capital City.
Shannon Moore, owner of Fifth & Thomas, who helped organize this event, says the Pulse shooting hit home, since her business also serves as a club and live music venue.
"I feel so blessed that we have the opportunity to do this and the outpouring of this community to give back to those families and those victims in Orlando is just tremendous," says Moore. "It's overwhelming, and I'm so happy that we could do it."
All proceeds from the event will go to Equality Florida's GoFundMe campaign which supports the Orlando victims and their families.
