TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A beloved Monroe Street crepe shop is getting a makeover.

The Crepevine at Midtown will be under new ownership starting Wednesday, February 2 -- and will be renamed "Canal Street Crepe Company."

Chris and Stephanie Eldridge, owners of the adjacent Krewe de Gras Midtown Tavern, announced on Facebook that they will transform the space to reflect the New Orleans-type theme at their current business.

The Eldridges said the restaurant will open earlier and feature redesigned crepes to be held with one hand, along with a new line of salads, soups, coffees, and desserts, including beignets.

The improvements hope to coincide a grand reopening with Krewe's Mardi Gras weekend.
