TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- A FAMU alum made a stop at his alma mater today, to share lessons from his success as chairman of one of the biggest tech companies in the world.

John W. Thompson was at FAMU on Monday, sharing his experiences with the community.

The Microsoft Chairman answered questions submitted by students, and gave advice to those in the audience.

It was all a part of a special series, called "a conversation with John W. Thompson."

Organizers say it's this kind of advice that helps students become successful as well.

Thompson graduated from the FAMU School of Business in 1971.

He says he's always looking for ways to give back to young rattlers.
