TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - One of two passengers in a car died in a Leon County crash when the vehicle ran off an I-10 exit ramp Monday night and hit a tree.
Mickey Nelson, 35, of Miami, was the victim, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the vehicle was traveling west on I-10 about 10:30 p.m. Monday and entered the exit ramp at mile marker 209 A and traveled off the roadway onto the west grassy shoulder of the exit ramp.
The front of the car collided with a reflective marker and the car continued down the grass embankment and collided with a tree.
The passenger was transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare and confirmed fatal at 11:25 PM.
The driver was identified as Aliah Cummings, 22, of Sanford, FL. Neither the driver nor the other passenger suffered injuries, FHP said.
