THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - Three men wanted for a string of robberies in South Georgia were arrested Sunday morning.
The Thomas County Sheriff's Office says tips from an armed robbery in Pavo Friday night helped authorities track down the suspects.
Narcotics agents and investigators from the Thomas County Sheriff's Office and Colquitt County Sheriff's Office took Isaiah Thomas, Rafael Merritt, Dontavious Jenkins, and a juvenile into custody.
All four are suspects in an armed robbery that happened around 10:15 Friday night at the Dollar General in Pavo. They tried to run away from Boston police, but their vehicle crashed -- and they ran into the woods.
After searching the area with the help of Georgia State Patrol and Thomasville Police Department K-9s, investigators were able to identify Merritt as the driver and apprehended him at his home in Moultrie. Authorities searched his car and identified the other three suspects.
The Thomas County Sheriff's Office says the three adults are tied to robberies at the Circle K Store in Thomasville, Dollar General in Coolidge, and the Dollar General in Moultrie.
