TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) - A Confederate flag is found flying at City Hall the day before the fourth of July.
The flag was found flying from the flag pole at City Hall on South Adams street on Friday. Tallahassee Police received an anonymous call about the incident.
Mayor andrew gillum released a statement Saturday in response to the incident, "today we proudly celebrate the founding of our nation and celebrate under the single flag of the united states of america. While this reprehensible act may have been an attempt to divide us, I know that our community will instead choose to unite and focus on the values that bind us together. We take this matter very seriously, and the person(s) who committed this act will be held responsible."
