TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum has finally responded to a petition for him to run as Florida governor.
Gillum posted to his Facebook page saying quote "I hear your voices and I will continue to listen."
The petition singling him out as a good candidate was put together by college students.
The page, on change.org, calls him a candidate that "empowers people to take progressive action".
Organizers said, corporate special interests and political insiders limit choices for voters to those with personal wealth or famous last names.
