TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - 'The Longest Table' Initiative is continuing to expand today, with community leaders gathering at st. Johns episcopal church on North Monroe Street.
Since 2015, it's been spurring conversation and strengthening bonds between neighbors from all corners of tallahassee and leon county.
Wednesday, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum spoke, announcing that folks can now officially enroll online to host their own event.
Organizers of 'The Longest Table' say the success of the event has inspired other cities and universities throughout the nation to replicate it in their communities.
