TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Thin Mints, Caramel Delights, and Shortbread are just a few of the signature Girl Scout cookies. And they’re all for sale heading into the next couple months.
The Girl Scouts of the Florida panhandle celebrated the kickoff of its 2015 cookie program Saturday at Tallahassee Community College. The rally encouraged girls to get involved with the Girl Scout cookie program, while showing them the benefits of learning by earning and encouraging team work. As a motivator, even FSU football legend Ernie Sims stopped by!
Meteorologist Max Tsaparis was on hand for the festivities but unfortunately, was no match for the cookie eating contest. He had some tough competition with representatives from the Girl Scouts, FAMU, TPD, and even Queen Elsa partaking in the event!
He ate 5 of the 7 shortbread cookie but fell short to a Tallahassee Police officer who downed those cookies in an unprecedented short amount of time. Max ends the weatherman winning streak as Storm Team Weather's Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse won last year’s cookie eating contest.
