TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- In May, WTXL took a look at plans for development at Market Square in the "Building Tallahassee" series.
A number of businesses have left the property in the past several months, but what about the weekly farmers market?
Vendors tell WTXL they don't know much, and that's what's bothering them.
Rumors have been swirling around about the future of the market and the property, too.
Vendors at the farmers market Tuesday said they've heard something about having to leave by July, but have not received any official notice from current developer Leon Capital Group.
One vendor claimed the Centre of Tallahassee would start housing farmers market vendors on June 1.
WTXL contacted the Centre, but a spokeswoman could not confirm that information.
Another vendor who wished to remain anonymous said she wouldn't leave Market Square until she was forced out. She says other vendors have left, though, on their own.
The market vendors also heard that the property had been resold.
WTXL reached out to Leon Capital Group to try to get some answers. The developers have yet to respond.
