MARIANNA, Fla. (WTXL) - A traffic stop resulted in a Marianna man being arrested on drug charges by a Jackson County Sheriff's Department deputy.
Thomas McCoy II, 30, arrested Tuesday after a traffic infraction on Shady Grove Road, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and a count of possession of a new or legend drug.
A news release said that after the odor of marijuana was emitting from the interior of vehicle, a probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the finding of a plastic wrapper. The wrapper contained one round pill presumed to be Ketrolac, a new legend drug in Florida.
A clear jewelry bag contained one oval pill presumed to be Hydrocodone, a controlled substance, and two more oval shaped pills were presumed to be Loritab, a controlled substance.
McCoy was placed under arrest and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await his first appearance in court.
