VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Police are searching for man wanted for selling Flakka, cocaine and other drugs in Valdosta.

The Valdosta Police Department says that they are looking for Allen Dowling, 51. 

Over the past several weeks, the department says its been getting numerous complaints about illegal narcotics sales and gang activity on East Brookwood Drive.  

After a few weeks of investigation, police searched a home in the 700 block of E. Brookwood Drive and found Dowling sitting inside his car in the driveway.

When VPD officers tried to detain him, they say he drove toward them recklessly, almost hitting a detective and two police cars. Dowling left the area in his car. Police later found his abandoned car.

VPD says officers went back to complete the search of Dowling's home and found tools typically used for selling drugs, a handgun, alpha-PVP (Flakka), powder and crack cocaine, and marijuana.

Officers don't know where Dowling is now and are asking for help finding him. Warrants were issued for his arrest on the following charges:

  • Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute (FELONY)
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute within 1000’ of a park (3 counts) (FELONY)
  • Possession with intent to Distribute within 1000’ of a Housing Authority (3 Counts) (FELONY)
  • Criminal Attempt to Sell a Schedule 1 Narcotic (FELONY)
  • Use of a Communication Facility for a Drug Transaction (FELONY)
  • Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer (FELONY)
  • Possession of Tools for the Commission of Crime (FELONY)
  • Possession of a firearm by a Convicted Felon (FELONY)
  • *Multiple traffic violations.

"This subject should be considered dangerous, if anyone has contact or knows the whereabouts of the suspect, they are asked to call 911 immediately,” said Lieutenant Adam Bembry.
