TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man wanted in Colorado for violating a protection order when he picked up his 4-year-old daughter from school has been arrested in Tallahassee.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested fugitive Anthony Richard Bryan 38, for Violation of a Protection Order warrant issued out of Longmont, Colorado.

Monday, the LCSO Bailiff Unit received information that Bryan was in the Leon County Courthouse, Clerks of Courts Office with his 4-year-old daughter attempting to file paperwork.

They also received information that Bryan was currently wanted in Colorado and a check on the welfare of his daughter had also been issued.

Bryan was arrested and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility based on the out of state warrant.

Longmont Police say that Bryan was violating a protection order by picking up his daughter from school. The custody agreement doesn’t say if he’s allowed to take her out of state, so it's unknown if that is part of the reason for the warrant.

The child was turned over to representatives of the Florida Department of Children and Families.
