VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Police arrested a man wanted in Valdosta for child abuse and aggravated assault after they noticed a car parked at a business that was already closed.
According to the Valdosta Police Department, an officer noticed a car parked outside a closed business on Madison Highway and stopped to check on the occupants.
One person inside gave a fake name and birthday but police say he was eventually identified as Shannon Kier.
Kier was wanted for two counts of cruelty to children and two counts of aggravated assault.
Police arrested Kier who is also being charged with giving a false name to law enforcement.
