VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Deputies say a man arrested in Lowndes County over the weekend had to be tased three times before he could be subdued by deputies.
Terry Allen was arrested and charged with obstruction of an officer on Saturday after refusing to leave the Flash Foods on Bemiss Rd, according to the Lowndes County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies say employees called 911, saying Allen was acting strangely and refusing to leave the store.
When Deputies arrived, they say Allen was mumbling and holding a bottle of water. The responding Deputy paid for the bottle when he realized Allen didn't have enough money and attempted to get Allen to leave the store.
That is when the department says Allen began fighting with the deputy. More deputies arrived to assist but they say they were unable to restrain him.
Allen was tased three times before officers were able to handcuff him. They say once he was subdued, Allen told them he had taken Meth and Molly before the incident.
An ambulance was called and Allen was taken to South Georgia Medical Center for evaluation prior to being taken to the Lowndes County Jail.
