TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man suffered minor injuries after a single-vehicle accident on I-10 in Leon County.
Juan Donate, 45, of Auburndale, Fla., is being charged with careless driving.
Florida Highway Patrol responded to an accident on Friday at about 11:31 a.m. involving a semi-tractor on I-10 eastbound near mile marker 197.
FHP states when they arrived on scene they found a semi-tractor and trailer in the ditch.
According to FHP, they were able to determine that the semi-tractor and trailer became separated while driving eastbound.
FHP says the tractor and trailer ran off the road onto the shoulder and through a ditch, before hitting a fence.
Donate was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in unstable condition but was later deemed in stable condition.
FHP says no other vehicles were involved, Donate was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and alcohol did not play a factor.
