COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - Columbus police say a man has been hospitalized after stealing a beer truck and then running himself over as he tried to elude police.
WTVM (http://bit.ly/1MNroXR) reports that Columbus police officers were called early Monday morning to a convenience store after a man stole a truckload of Coors Light beer.
Police say the suspect led them on a chase that ended at a Bojangles restaurant. Police say the man jumped out of the beer truck and the still rolling vehicle ran over his leg.
The man was taken to the Midtown Medical Center for medical treatment.
