CLEARWATER, Fla. (WTXL) - Clearwater police say a man and a woman went fishing to steal several exotic species from a pet store.
Police say Cruz Garcia Jr. was stealing exotic fish by hiding them in his pants.
A clerk says the accomplice, Crystal Dixon, distracted her while Garcia worked to net several electric blue acaras and ram cichlids.
They range from $18 to $20 each.
The clerk was able to get the license plate number.
Garcia was later charged with petty theft and released on bond.
They're still searching for Dixon.
The stolen fish were not recovered.
