TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A St. Petersburg man is in the hospital with serious injuries after crashing his truck in Taylor County Tuesday morning.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, it happened at about 5:00 a.m.
Troopers say 64-year-old Jeffrey Silberstein was driving his Toyota Tundra SB on US Highway 19 when he drove onto the shoulder and over-corrected. Troopers say Silberstein's truck began to spin, eventually overturning onto it's left side and sliding into a tree.
Silberstein was life-flighted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Troopers say he was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Silberstein did not have any passengers in the car. He's facing charges of Failure to Maintain a Lane.
