TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man has been sentenced to four years in state prison for unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

Steven Stier, 28, was sentenced Wednesday to four years in state prison and five years of sex offender probation. He was adjudicated guilty after pleading no contest to the charges.

According to court documents, Stier had sex with a 16-year-old minor back in May 2016. At the time, Stier was 26 years old.

The incident happened at Shamrock Village Apartments where Stier lived just two doors away from the victim.

Documents say that Stier gave the minor alcohol before having sex with the victim. Text messages from the victims phone also show that Stier contacted the victim after the act and tried to set up another time for them to meet.

According to witnesses, Stier even admitted to having sex with the minor, saying that he was "really out of it."

He has been ordered to have no contact with the victim and can only use the internet for work purposes, provided he under the supervision of his probation officer.
