TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) – Justin Huber believes Zillah Street is the worst street in Tallahassee. He says the narrow shoulders and deep ditches are dangerous, and he's seen kids and cars end up over the edge.

"That last car that came by, they had to cross this line just to make this turn and when a school bus crosses here you can't even see the drop off," explains Huber.

He wants to see the city make some major infrastructure changes, including putting sidewalks over the open drainage ditches.

The city said about a year ago it responded to a resident's concern about the intersection when turning from Tram Road onto Zillah Street. Reflective posts were added along the turning radius of Zillah Street. Handrails were also installed along the sidewalk.

“Any time a citizen has an issue or sees a problem, we work diligently to resolve it. We assess the issue, we work with neighborhoods all the time to address concerns,” said Alison Faris with the City of Tallahassee.

Huber said he is now going to follow up with the city in hopes of improving safety on what he considers the worst street in Tallahassee.
