MACON, Ga. (AP) - A judge has sentenced the co-founder of a Macon gang to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to violating Georgia's gang act.
The Telegraph of Macon reports (http://bit.ly/1OLgGXb ) that Sidney Raymond Sapp pleaded guilty Thursday for violating the state's Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act and misdemeanor assault.
Sapp along with his mother Jerryetta Sapp and several other alleged gang members were indicted in June 2014. They were charged for their involvement with the prostitution of a then-15-year-old girl.
The indictment also charged his sisters, Justeene Sapp and Asialeena Sapp, his child's mother, Jacquelyn Charmain Jackson, his mother and Navon Christine Johnson. Their charges included pandering, violating the gang act, keeping a place of prostitution for someone under 18 and prostitution.
