MIAMI (AP) - Authorities say a man chased down and shot at a vehicle driven by his ex-wife on a busy Miami intersection.
Miami-Dade police say the incident began during rush hour Tuesday afternoon when the man jumped out of his vehicle and began firing at his former wife's red pickup truck. She sped forward, striking six other vehicles before her truck jumped a curb and crashed into a utility pole.
Det. Alvaro Zabaleta told the Miami Herald that stunned motorists then watched the man get back into his truck and turn the gun on himself. He was dead when rescue units reached him. His wife wasn't seriously hurt but her truck was struck by several bullets.
Police are investigating the incident.
The names of the man and woman haven't been released.
