CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Virginia man is dead after getting into a head-on crash with a tow truck in Crawfordville Tuesday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Zachary Stephens, 22, of Waynesboro, Virginia was driving his 325i BMW south on Crawfordville Highway Tuesday morning.
Troopers say a tow truck was parked on the shoulder of Crawfordville Highway, facing north with it's beacons activated, and the driver was loading a vehicle from another crash when Stephens' car crashed into the front of it.
FHP says Stephens' car spun around before coming to a stop in middle of the lanes.
He was hospitalized in Tallahassee before dying from his injuries. The driver of the two truck suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene.
FHP says US 319/Bloxham Cutoff was temporarily closed northbound due to the crash.
