SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway patrol has identified the man that was killed in a car accident that resulted in a fire.
FHP said that Charles Lilly, 68, was driving west on 224th Street around 1:25 p.m. Wednesday afternoon when he ran off the road and hit a tree.
After the crash, the car caught fire and was engulfed in flames.
Lilly was pronounced dead on the scene.
Firefighters also had to extinguish a brush fire that started as a result of the car.
