JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A man is hospitalized after a hit-and-run in Jackson County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Dennis Crawford was driving his truck west on County Road 162 around 9 o'clock Friday night when he hit 57-year-old Melvin Henderson. Troopers say Henderson was in the road in his wheelchair, which did not have any lights on it.
Troopers say Crawford left the scene, but later called the Jackson County Sheriff's Office to say he had hit something but didn't know what. Harris had to be air lifted to a nearby hospital.
Charges are pending.
