TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man was arrested for grand theft after the owner of a pickup truck found him wearing a mask and sitting in the driver's seat.
Byron Thomas Daniels, 20, was arrested Monday at a business on Old Saint Augtine Road after he was confronted in a Ford F250 by the truck's owner and a co-worker.
The motor was idling when the two men each walked up to a side of the pickup and saw Daniels, according to a probable cause affidavit.
When confronted, Daniels was wearing a red bandanna over his mouth and nose with only his eyes and forehead visible.
A witness said that while he was sitting at his desk he saw Daniels enter the truck and informed its owner.
Due to Daniels behavior, officers said they believe he may have been under the influence of narcotics, however, no drugs were found on him.
He refused to speak without having a lawyer present and was arrested without incident.
