SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers said that a man has been taken to the hospital in serious condition after his car hit a power pole.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that accident happened Monday afternoon in Suwannee County. They said that Albert Williams Jr. was driving eastbound on 168th Street toward 109th Road.
At some point, Williams lost control of his car as it began to fishtail, causing the car to travel to the side of the road and hit a utility power pole.
The car overturned several times before it came to a final stop.
Troopers said that Williams was trapped inside the car for a while until he was extricated by the Suwanee County Fire Department.
They said that he suffered serious injuries.
He was treated on scene by Suwannee County EMS then flown to Shands at UF in Gainesville for further treatment.
Troopers said that charges are pending an investigation into the crash.
