SUWANNEE COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - A man has been left in critical condition after he was hit by car in Suwannee County according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said that Martin Gonzales, 47, was on the north shoulder of U.S. 90, west of Walker Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Monday. A car was traveling east on the road and moved into the left turning lane to turn onto Walker Avenue.
According to witnesses, Gonzales ran across the road, stopped in the left turning lane right in front of where the car was headed, and got hit. After the car hit him, witnesses called 911.
Troopers said that they are still investigating the incident.
