VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Valdosta Police Department has identified the person who died after a traffic accident Tuesday morning as a 23-year-old man from Lake Park.
According to police, the accident happened at 8 a.m. and involved two vehicles. Evan A. Souris was pronounced dead at the scene while the second driver suffered no injuries, said police.
Additional police units and the Valdosta Fire Department came out to assist.
The roadway was temporarily shut down and the Valdosta Police Traffic Unit and Crime Scene Unit from the Valdosta/Lowndes Regional Crime Laboratory are processing the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing.
