COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers say a 39-year-old man was ejected from his vehicle after crashing into a cow in Lake City.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened Tuesday at 10:40 p.m.
They say Billy Burnham, 39, of Macclenny was driving east on SW Pinemount Road when a cow walked into the road directly in front of the vehicle.
Burnham was unable to avoid the cow and crashed into it, causing him to be ejected from the vehicle.
He was transported to UF Health in Gainesville for serious injuries. No charges have been filed in the crash.
